Edward J. Rendon is a partner at Spiker Rendon Consulting and is on the lobbying team with our collaborative partners at Capitol Advocacy, consistently ranked as one of the top Sacramento firms.
Rendon brings 25 years of government affairs, labor relations, non-profit and workforce development experience to both teams. Prior to entering the lobbying profession, Ed managed the California Teamsters political spending of more than $1.5 million per election cycle for 16 years. In that time, he also helped elect dozens of political leaders at the local, state and federal level.
In 2019, Ed founded San Gabriel Valley Civic Alliance (SGVCA), a business advocacy organization specializing in multi-sector collaboratives and public private partnerships. The organization promotes innovative policy and economic solutions for its member organizations in business, government, education and labor.
Rendon has a broad range of experience serving on the following appointments and boards: Western Alliance Trust Fund, California Employment Training Panel, California Board of Optometry, Los Angeles City WIB, San Bernardino County WIB, Vernon Business Advisory Committee, ELAC Foundation Board, MT. SAC Foundation & Alumni Association, AIPAC National Council, UCLA Labor Center Advisor and member of Los Angeles Trade Tech Labor Center faculty.
Ed is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and earned his Masters of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in Guidance & Counseling.
